1) Post tidbits of wisdom from your book(s) on Facebook and Twitter - very enticing to get people wanting more and talking about it
(word of mouth is best advice for almost anything...especially books)

2) Find out who you can submit small articles to (like magazines, blogs, websites)regarding your book topic and then submit them (essentially a bigger and more official version of #1)

3) Prompt people who visit your site to opt in for a newsletter. Opt in is the ONLY way to get good contacts. Opt out is an annoyance to people and half of your contacts will not actually want to be a contact.

4) Use your contact list to send newsblasts out for your book, bargains, deals, and future books. For most efficient emails, services or software will be required. For simple emails (and less often) you can manage it yourself.

5) Of course, always see where you can plug your book into. Fellow pastors church book stores? Local book stores? Give copies away to people who will read them and talk about them (and maybe quote them in their ministries)
