This month we are focusing on “loving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.” (Mark 12.30) We invite you to take one prayer request each day as marked and pray over it repeatedly that day. We also suggest you look up the Bible verses for further understanding in prayer.
Monday: Since God is Spirit and exists as a being that is not made of any matter, in your prayers rejoice in that He desires and chooses to know you personally and intimately. (John 4.24; Romans 8.16; 1 Corinthians 6.17; 14.14; Philippians 3.3)
Tuesday: Since God is invisible and His total being will never be able to be seen by us, thrill in the fact that God chooses ways and means to communicate with us, like prayer. (Genesis 18.1-33; 32.28-30; Exodus 12.21-22; Judges 13.21-22; Isaiah 6.1; John 14.9; Colossians 1.15)
Wednesday: Since God knows all things actual and possible; take the time to seek His wisdom and knowledge through prayer for any situation you are in and any time. (1 John 3.20; 1 Corinthians 2.10-11; Hebrews 4.13; Psalm 139; James 1.5-6)
Thursday: Since God always chooses the best goals and the best means to those goals for our lives, follow God’s directions in the Bible and cooperate with Him in prayer. (Romans 11.33; 16.27; Job 9.4; 12.13; Psalm 104.24; 111.10; Ephesians 3.10)
Friday: Since God is truthful, he is the true God and all of his knowledge and words are both true and the final standard of truth, therefore reaffirm that you can trust His commands and depend on what He says as you pray. (Jeremiah 10.10-11; John 17.3; 1 John 5.20; Job 37.16)
Prayer points are adapted from Wayne Grudem’s, Systematic Theology, chapter 12, The Character of God.
